Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Our practice is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and some of our providers are also in-network with Aetna PPO and the Aetna Northwestern Student Health Insurance plan. We are out-of-network providers with most other insurance plans and offer superbills to clients for out-of-network reimbursement.

How do I log in to my client portal, access billing documents and see my appointments?

Here is the link to securely access these documents if you are an existing client of the practice: https://fancherpsychology.clientsecure.me

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit is a time to gather information; from you, and from us. Feel free to ask us anything you like. We use this time to learn about your past, understand what you’d like to achieve in therapy and to make a treatment plan. The goal, in the beginning, is to make sure you feel comfortable and to help you gain tools to relieve your distress.

What makes therapy successful?

Therapy is different from the typical doctor/patient relationship. Therapy is a commitment to yourself. Successful therapy often depends on the types of interventions utilized and the relationship between the therapist and the client. Our compassionate therapists and use of scientifically researched interventions will help ensure you receive the best care possible.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, Fancher Psychology keeps all patient information confidential unless the law, or your safety or the safety of someone else, requires disclosure. We provide our telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA compliant, portal to ensure confidentiality. Please visit our privacy page for full disclosure regarding your health information.
