Child and Teen Therapy FAQs
-
Child therapy is anyone under 18 years old. Think “school-aged”, when you, the parent, are responsible for their day-to-day.
-
Not really. Therapy is more of a collaborative process between you and your therapist. It’s based on research and theory and explicitly designed for what your child or teen needs it to be. Our jobs are to be here to hear your child or teen and help them understand what they’re going through.
-
Not necessarily, but child and teen therapy typically revolve around a large life event like school changes, moving towns, or divorce. If you’re wondering if child or teen therapy is right for your child, contact us and we’re happy to advise.

There are many options for therapy, many of which are covered by insurance plans.
The best way to know is to schedule a consultation with us, and we can talk through the options.
