A Simple Mindfulness Trick

You’ve likely heard a lot about mindfulness lately. Mindfulness is important, effective and relatively simple. However, some are turned off by the idea, thinking it may be “too complicated” “too time consuming” or “too zen”. It really isn’t any of those things though. Mindfulness is important, we all know this by now. But some are turned off by the idea, thinking it may be “too complicated” “too time consuming” or “too zen”. It really isn’t any of those things though. A simple way to begin to introduce mindfulness into your day is just to think about paying attention. Pay attention to where you’re walking. Pay attention to what you see or smell or taste. We often miss a lot of pleasurable experiences because of inattention for the sake of multi-tasking “efficiency”. A motivation for adding a little mindfulness to your day is to think about it as adding pleasure to your day. Notice more, feel more.  Pay attention to where you’re walking.
